Summary
The Dublin Swift, a renowned Irish passenger vessel, recently underwent a significant renovation at the Harland and Wolff Shipyard. This project revolved around the installation of two new aluminium decks, aiming to enhance the safety and durability of the ship.
Objective
Our primary goal was to provide a secure and long-lasting solution for the Dublin Swift, ensuring that its deck could safely transport vehicles in all weather conditions. We aimed to perform the renovation swiftly, causing minimal disruption to the ship’s operations.
Solutions
We employed our innovative Traffideck Grip 4000 Anti Slip and Waterproofing System to equip the two new aluminium decks. Special care was taken during the deck preparation with captive blasting treatment for the surface and alternative grinding discs for edge work.
Results
The entire operation was successfully completed in two long days, meeting the project’s timeframe and quality expectations. The enhanced deck promises a secure vehicle transportation for years to come, testament to the quality and efficacy of our work.
